Autumn can be a great time to sell property – the weather is cooler, gardens look pretty and many people are starting to tick New Year’s resolutions off their list. In order to take advantage of this fantastic selling season, it’s a good idea to spruce up your property and get it ready to show to buyers.
Keep the watering up
The weather can be unpredictable in autumn and many gardens may still be suffering from the heat waves of summer. To get your garden back into shape, ensure that you keep the watering up. You may also need to trim back plants that are already showing signs of dehydration.
Clean out gutters
If your area had a lot of storms over summer then there could be a lot of leaves built up in your gutters. This problem is only going to get worse as autumn leaves start falling, so make sure that you clean gutters out now to prevent any damage later on.
De-clutter
You should always make the effort to de-clutter no matter what season you are selling in. Decluttering will help your home appear tidier and make it look more spacious too.
Make sure the heater and air-conditioner is ready
It’s hard to predict whether the days will be hot or cold in autumn. Prepare for both by making sure that your heaters and/or air-conditioners are serviced and ready to go. This will help you get your home to the perfect temperature no matter what is happening outside.
Get a fresh perspective
It always helps to get a second opinion. If you’re not sure what you need to do to get your property looking its best for inspections then ask your Professionals Real Estate agent for advice.
